life is a bliss

last week, after a day of partying with dear friends and families, I got possessed by a spirit of such deep gratitude.

it may seem like shameless exaggeration to say that I’ve had a blissfully happy life. but it’s true. so happy I don’t even want to stop thinking about it. it’s been like a happy dream.

life isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty pretty good. and I feel that deep down inner contentment when you know that even if you haven’t got everything, you’ve got what matters; good times, good friends, family, a great church community, an amazing story that is this life, and the glorious suffering that has brought me to where I am, with the people I’m with right now.

here I am journeying through a garden of flowers called family and friends, sprouted from seeds I planted years ago, gathering them by the arm-load, inhaling their sweet scent, dreaming of how this young garden is going to grow even bigger and more beautiful throughout the next few years.

some experiences are golden in retrospect, while other experiences are golden as they happen.

it’s been a glorious years of struggle, and searching, and at times suffering... absolutely glorious. if I could go back, I wouldn’t change a thing.

and even when the going gets tough, you’ll always find a source of free happiness to tide you over in the meantime, such as the company of great people, sunshine, running barefoot on freshly rained-on grass, and laughters as only the children could have.

a long time coming

lately, i've just been enjoying opening and reading friends' blogs...getting excited with new places, new relationships (paging chris and claire) and even new macs (glad for you jess).

my trips in and out of the country this month and last month have taken most of my time and i haven't had the opportunity to tinker on my keyboards until today. but still, i don't have a lot of time to do this...been busy the whole week and even the weekend because of different activities coming up this month. i guess, december is the busiest month for almost everybody. what with several parties to attend and many shopping-days schedules due to the rush of the season.

i am planning to write something more sensible than this one, but i guess it will have to wait.

geesh...season's rush and season's joy. but i'm enjoying both.

and come to think of it...this is actually my first official blog using my macbook, bought last month. now, that tells you that this is reallllly long-time coming.
